Review on 🔧 Maxpow 2 HOOD & 2 TAILGATE Lift Supports Struts for Grand Cherokee 1999-2004 4048 4699 - Long-lasting Hood & Liftgate Struts by John Langdon

I ordered them for a 2004 Grand Cherokee. The front hood holds up well, was easy to assemble and worked great! However, I can't say the same about the rear pillars on the tailgate. They were very difficult to install as they were too long to properly align the star screws. I figured we would spring load the tailgate and try to raise it high enough for the studs to line up. Finally aligned I thought I started threading the screws in, which was so difficult I don't know if they were mis-threaded or cross-threaded because it was such a PIA to align them. The heads of the sprocket bolts literally broke off when I screwed them in.
