Yes, they are excellent non-stick and almost anything you cook in them will stain over time. I heated up a casserole in one of the pans and couldn't soak it. The included cleaning pad and scrapers were VERY gentle with the mess. Went to my old friend for a green sponge. . . BIG mistake, immediately removed the gray trim! After I washed it, the bare spots were covered with rust. These pots have NEVER been in the dishwasher and my goodness, they get old fast. Keeping the exterior clean is the worst, anything spilled on the outside while cooking will burn and I can't wipe it off without removing the paneling. Worst of all are round lines at the bottom. Various bits of food get stuck in it during cooking and are almost impossible to remove even though it's stainless steel and unlike other pots it can actually be cleaned properly. On top of that, if you catch yourself tapping the edge of the pan with a spoon before putting it on the table. . . . I wouldn't recommend this as the soft layer of aluminum is exposed and you can see the dents made by even the slightest tap.
