Okay I won't go into details if it's the best but I've been using this device for 10 years to charge my marine batteries. . One battery is for the camper and the other for backup power to the pellet stove. Some say you should charge your marine batteries to 14.4 volts to keep them from sulphating. This device shuts off at 13.4 volts. I could get another type, PWM and 14.4 volts, but a lot of people say that the devices I've looked at don't turn off, they prime your batteries. I have experience with this and one battery is 10 years old so I don't think it does any harm. Of course, I don't often use both batteries, but I can tell you that I haven't had any problems with my RV's battery.
