Review on Michelin 9514 Windshield Wiper Blade by Russell Rabbach

DOES NOT fit Honda CR-V EX 2017

Really disappointed in this wiper blade. Found that my old wiper blade had come loose. Wanted to try the much cheaper Trico sheet but this had a 2 day delivery time and was soon needed for a long trip. According to Revain it should fit my 2017 Honda CR-V EX. The adapter that came with this Michelin knife proved to be correct, but the turning rod diameter was slightly smaller than the original. However, the fatal problem was that the hole was too small and rubbed the wiper arm a lot. The wiper arm spring is relatively weak, so the wiper barely touches the glass. A slight rise in the center of the blade and it stays above the glass by itself. Out of necessity, I decided to cut the new squeegee off the new wiper assembly and install it into the old assembly. This turned out to be more difficult than I expected as the Michelin wiper blade has a raised rubber bumper in the groove to prevent slipping, but with some persuasion and a small flathead screwdriver I was able to fit it to the old wiper assembly. . Some sandpaper or a dremel tool to widen the hole might have worked as well, but replacing the rubber sheets seemed quicker/easier. I noticed in the reviews that it's not clear if it fits my car or not. I suspect there are significant differences in production. If you get a wider bore you'll probably be fine, but if you get a slightly narrower one, you're out of luck. Obviously YMMV.
