no idea why so many good reviews, bought it to record my workout. He didn't record very well at all. It didn't have a rubber mount so I had to place it on folded newspaper to reduce table noise. Now I have some soft foam on the bottom and that helps with the sound quality. Lots of reverb despite being in a relatively small room, not sure where the mic was pointed. After a week of use, the display made of soft, transparent plastic is already showing light scratches. Although it's very thin and easy to slip into your pocket and plug into your PC, it's likely to break if you hit it with a USB device plugged into your computer. If I saw this in a store I would be willing to pay $30. It's just cheap thin plastic from China and poor microphone sensitivity. I wish I had bought a Tascam before buying it online or looked at it in a store.
