Review on Crystala Filters XWF Water Filter: High-Quality and Compatible 3 Pack for GE XWF Refrigerator Water Filter by Keith Aluguvelli

I started using these filters in June 2019. The first two filters worked great, the water seemed nice and clear with no taste or smell. After installing the third filter, I ordered three more. Well, it didn't take much longer before I noticed things were floating in the water. This is a thin material. As far as I can tell it looks like an oily substance. I replaced the filter and the replacement produces the same type of deposits. I've checked the drain from the rest of the faucets and it's only coming out of the fridge. Fridge two years new. I took the filter apart and it was slippery. As you can see in the photo, the black material comes from the filter.
