This was the second preamp I bought to use with my relatively new Sony STR-DN840 and Technics SL-B350 TT as the first one I bought performed just as badly like its low price: Pyle PP999, which I think I paid $20 or less for. It just didn't raise the sound level to the level I remember from my old 1991 Kenwood receiver, which had a dedicated phono input. The Music Hall Mini Phono Stage looks and feels like a much better piece of equipment and the difference in sound level and quality is exactly what I was hoping for! Plus, it's made in the USA! (As opposed to all my other audio components, with the possible exception of Bose satellite speakers). The Music Hall Mini was very easy to set up and is a welcome addition to my home stereo. Small in size but big in value is my description and once again the sound quality of my vinyl is deep and rich. I didn't see many reviews of this unit online, which prompted me to share my findings with you audiophiles looking for preamps under $100 and want a quality American-made unit that will help you get the most out of your sound can get out. vinyl collection.
