Same as the original cable, only better because it's much longer. Not only has this increased the life of the vacuum cleaner, but thanks to a longer cord that runs almost the entire length of the house, we can now vacuum faster and easier. This is indeed an upgrade that might be worthwhile, even if you don't have to fix the cable.
