For about $2 a bulb you really can't go wrong. The first package of these lamps lasted about 3 years. Some boxed lights last longer than others, but they're cheaper than the mainstream brands and last about the same. They are available with 300 or 500 watts. Just read the instructions or look at the bulb yourself to find out the maximum wattage per bulb. Too much heat due to the higher wattage can significantly reduce the life of these bulbs. You can't see it in the picture but the bulbs come with a small wrapped piece of paper to take out the bulb without touching it. Do not touch these bulbs as the oil from your finger will greatly shorten the life of the bulbs or they will burst/shatter within minutes of installation. These are full size lamps, not mini lamps.
