I'm almost seventy and my last experience of riding a bike (not counting motorcycles) was in early adulthood. I've never had a rearview mirror on a motorcycle. Since this product is relatively cheap, I figured it's worth a try, even if I don't like it. If you've already ridden with glasses or a helmet with rear-view mirrors on and are used to it, this might be "just the ticket". Whatever it is, it works as advertised. Common sense should have told me what challenges this mirror would have, and for me they turned out to be more than I anticipated. Your head is constantly spinning and moving, just like a mirror. You'll have to force your eyes to find the "sweet spot" first, where the tiny mirror reflects what you need to see (while peddling safely). I found that I had to use my eyes to search for the mirror long before I needed to know what was behind me (for the upcoming corner, for example). Combine this with the need to move your head to see what you need to see. Maybe you'll get used to it with time, with more experience, and as your muscle memory recovers. It frustrated me, but actually annoyed me. I've never had this experience with motorcycle mirrors, which are larger (of course) and attached to a bike. I don't recommend this as it hasn't worked easily or well for me and I felt it wasn't safe. The small size means you get a reflection of a limited area. Instinct and habit made me turn my head to see what's behind me with peripheral vision, which is also uncertain. Because the mirror is so small, your eyes and head need to be in the right (best) place to work as intended. While it's true that it's easy to set up (at every angle), that doesn't solve its inherent problems. It also bangs and moves easily during normal use. I have often found myself reaching up (often during trading) to try and micro-adjust the angle of the mirror. Remember that when you install it (easy to do with most types of sunglasses), what will you do when it's evening or night outside? You won't want to fiddle around transferring it from sunglasses to a helmet etc. You will always make adjustments to its position. By the way, this may or may not work on all helmet types. It depends on what type you have. Cloudy day, evening or night driving, it doesn't matter, you still want to see behind you. I assume there are transparent sports goggles so the bugs don't get in your eyes at moments like this. This is probably the answer. I just ordered a $25 rear view mirror that mounts on the steering wheel.
