This planer is much cheaper than a Rockler or Kreg car lift but just as effective. I bought a jess em template to cut out and then glued this lifter right into it. My Bosch router is perfect for the hoist and I can easily lift the collet off the table to easily change bits. And when I want to use my router as a portable device, I simply lift the lift and router from the top and lower the router into a conventional or submersible base. The jack comes with three insert rings, but if you want them they sell a free set of extra rings direct at Revain; However I haven't seen the need yet as the three rings that came with the jack seem to be all I need. They also provide all the tools you need to jack up your router and adjust your router to sit flush with your countertop, so there's no need to buy extra tools or rummage through your tool box for the right Allen key.
