Beauty, eh - power tool parts and accessories

Everything fits. This was important because my (ryo) grinder motors didn't fit that 3.5 inch limit. The HF DrillMaster is perfect (3.45), the vertical travel is a good 3 inches. I should make a chart before reporting the rest, but the top of the lift has spring adjustment in both directions and the lift action is really smooth. The knob was initially difficult to turn, but it turned out that the crank bolt was overtightened; loosen something. Addendum: works great. I have used many table…

Works as it should

I installed a JessEm Rout-R-Lift II with a Bosch 1617EVS router in the wing of my modified Craftsman 113 table saw. Photos attached. It was pretty easy to install. However, the JessEm template called for a 3/4" OD bushing and a 1/2" router, and I have never used a router bushing. It was an educational experience. Also, I had some trouble sticking the double-sided carpet tape to the MDF template, so I clamped it instead. In summary, I love my new lift and router. This is the best setup for the…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Functionality

Claimed I could use a DeWalt 618 but it clearly doesn't fit even with the bracket removed completely. I just bought a professional backsaw and was going to install a lift but it doesn't accept a router. Superpore design mistake! Now's not the time to return it, so I'm stuck with $200 worth of useless aluminum. I promise I will never recommend your product to anyone. I also have a standard Lowes Hitachi router that doesn't fit either. So what is the purpose of limiting the elevator to only 1 or…

You need good parts for your router Spare parts and accessories

Fantastic car. Everything worked an hour after unpacking. I read a few reviews and watched a YouTube video or two. There are ten small set screws for leveling the base; I have all ten. The instructions list 4 1/4-20x1" screws to attach to the table, but there weren't any nuts for the screws. I guess they expect you to either use T-nuts, sockets, or buy your own, which I did (It takes 1/2 hour to install.) It just didn't advertise metric bolts and I have absolutely no idea what they would be…

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Only available in black

Finally decided to build a real router table. Using this option greatly improves my solid base set under a 3/4 inch piece of plywood with 14 foot plywood legs on the ends. I have used the new router table several times with this lift and I am very satisfied. This makes it much easier to fine tune the height of the bit. My DeWalt 616 motor is a perfect match for the lift. The only thing I would have liked was a template to cut out the mounting hole. Even a paper template in the instructions…

Perfect for my needs

This planer is much cheaper than a Rockler or Kreg car lift but just as effective. I bought a jess em template to cut out and then glued this lifter right into it. My Bosch router is perfect for the hoist and I can easily lift the collet off the table to easily change bits. And when I want to use my router as a portable device, I simply lift the lift and router from the top and lower the router into a conventional or submersible base. The jack comes with three insert rings, but if you want them

For some reason it's the cheapest

Now that I have the Rout-R-Lift II I somehow paid extra for a mast lift. The instruction is excellent, the equipment is excellent. The thing works great, it's very heavy and flat. I'm taking off a star because it's ridiculous to spend that kind of money (of course I know it's one of the cheapest elevators out there) and there's only one ring. It wouldn't matter if the rings were readily available like Kreg elevators, but the cheapest place I could find them (with delivery) was direct from…

  • Great for me

Be warned and informed - additional costs may apply

A few things to consider may incur additional costs: First, if you don't have a router that you want to leave permanently installed in the elevator, plan to do so a buy one. According to JessEm customer service representatives, the time and effort required to install and configure a router in an elevator is significant and negates many of the time-saving benefits. I suspect this isn't unique to the JessEm lift, but in my case it was an unforeseen additional cost. JessEm for about $30 including…
