Be warned and informed - additional costs may apply

A few things to consider may incur additional costs: First, if you don't have a router that you want to leave permanently installed in the elevator, plan to do so a buy one. According to JessEm customer service representatives, the time and effort required to install and configure a router in an elevator is significant and negates many of the time-saving benefits. I suspect this isn't unique to the JessEm lift, but in my case it was an unforeseen additional cost. JessEm for about $30 including shipping. Without these special brackets, the lift will not attach properly to the table; Third, the jack comes with only a few inserts surrounding the cutter. The ones that came with the lifter (1-3/8", 2", 2-1/2") seem to be in seldom used sizes and fit very few of the bits I use regularly. I would think that they include some standard sizes to fit 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1-1/2" bits. Unless they try to sell you more inserts! Individual inserts are not sold JessEm.complete-Kit Complete kit Due to the high additional costs for a couple of "normal" needle plates and the "unexpected" additional effort and annoyance factor for special corner angles, I docked these and deducted another star, since the first lifter, The one I received had a warp in the bottom plate so couldn't level properly in the table. Had to send it back. The plates are phenolic (plastic) and not aluminum like most other ski lifts. , Time will tell def if the rating plate determines the weight of the motor make it functional but i I left after spending $240 more than the cost of the elevator and it took several "discoveries" and additional purchases to get it all working.
