I have replaced all my brass plated knobs with these levers. Schlage makes a quality product and never noticed a difference until moving to a new location. I told the builder that the handles were broken because they had so much play and the spring tension was so weak, not realizing they come that way. Save yourself the hassle and get something that lasts. Another cool thing I did was put the front door handle upside down so you can push it down with your elbow/arm etc when using your hands also helps remove the inside hanging shadow that the company curtain maker (you know that one) made don't consider the gap around it when measuring.
