Review on Cushion Grip: Soft and Pliable 1 Oz (28 Grams) Thermoplastic for Denture Refitting and Tightening by Joy Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect soft padding, make it thick. It works.

I have read the negative reviews on this product and I can understand why some people are disappointed. I'm about to order my third tube because I never expected it to be just glue. This product is like a gentle rebase every 5 days if you use it for that purpose. Maybe I can help someone by explaining how I make the product work for me. First, the instructions say to use a thin layer. I am not following these instructions. let me explain. Remove the tube and place it upside down in hot water for about 2-3 minutes. While it's sitting in the water, clean your choppers. Make sure your grinders are completely dry. I personally use a washcloth to dry them. Take the tube out of the water, open it up and apply a penny-sized dab to each side of your chopper and another behind your front teeth. So you have 3 penny sized strips of product to work with. Now start shaping it with your finger. I start on the left and go from there. You should have the thickest part of the product just behind your front teeth and on either side. Spread it out to make a thin layer all over. Yes, it takes a while, but it's worth it. Now let the product rest on the choppers for about 3 minutes before putting the choppers back in your mouth. Push your teeth up and hold them for about a minute. Boom, immediate move. I also didn't specify from the start that this guide was for the upper teeth, so I'm sorry. I have a part on the bottom and I also make it thick on the bottom. Personally I don't need glue to make it like this, but I tried. And let me tell you, I can eat whatever I want since they're cemented in there. I only use glue when I go to a restaurant and I know I'm going to eat steak, corn on the cob, etc. I understand it's expensive and I pray the company will lower the price because I think it's ridiculous. expensive. But this stuff works for me, at least for now. I really hope I've helped some newbies like me. Oh, and just so you know, removable dentures have come down in price not much more than regular dentures, so I'll check that out. Yes they will have to put in some implants but in the long run I think it will save a lot of money.
