Good idea that MIGHT work if you have the right hob setting. My stove is a 5 burner gas stove. Norpro 3 - The side splatter guard helped a bit when I was frying, but my other burners got in the way. However, there was less cleaning afterwards. And that's the main goal, right? It can be washed in the dishwasher and is convenient. Hand washing is also easy. It WILL HEAT if placed too close to the pan, so be careful with it. Keep it safe if these things mean a lot to you, even at such a modest price. I'm glad I bought this. It's very useful and I use it from time to time. Just had to try it and see if it works. It kind of works if you use it the right way.
