Full disclosure - my hardwood floors scratch. After 7 years of use, 2 big dogs, 2 kids and an overzealous cleaning lady this is a wreck. I've used almost every cleaner made: Murphy's Oil Soap, Mop and Glo, Orange Stuff, Floor Mate, Bona, Swiffer Wet Jet - you name it, I've used it. About 5 years ago we even had one of those companies that didn't sand floors. You looked amazing. two weeks long. I almost gave up. I accidentally found Pro Shot here at Revain while looking for another floor cleaning product. Pro shot is amazing. It gave my floors a glossy shine and also made them somewhat waterproof. I don't think it's a floor cleaner, more of a finishing product. My husband came home and immediately noticed how great the floors looked. It doesn't smell, it dries very quickly. The bottle is supposed to dry for 45 minutes, which made me wonder - who has 45 minutes to dry the floor? The substance definitely works: I had to put it on a sleeping dog in a dog bed. The next day when I moved the bed there was a clear dry patch underneath which clearly indicated I hadn't applied Pro-shot. There were a few more spots in the other room that I missed as well, and I have yet to go back and finish them. In high traffic areas I applied two coats: under the chair, stains in front of the doors and similar places. If you have a lot of hardwood floors, buy two bottles, especially if you think you'll need more than one coat of paint. I used 1.5 bottles but on the other hand I have a lot of flooring and applied two coats in several places. It is very easy to apply (I used a quickie mop). I've already raved about this thing to my friends whose hardwood floors are starting to wear out like mine. Pro Shot has made my floors a little more tolerable and livable for now and allows me to delay the repair at least for a while. I buy more now. I don't know how many times it will need to be reapplied but I definitely want to make sure I have it on hand next time. I just can't say enough good things about the Pro Shot. A definite 5 star purchase for those with worn hardwood floors!
