Review on Enhance Your Dodge/RAM's Power: K&N Cold Air Intake Kit (2009-2019 5.7L V8) – 77-1561KP by Jason Vigen

I have a friend who added a cold air intake to his 16 Ram. It boasted the difference in performance and fuel efficiency, so I decided to buy one for my 18 Ram Sport. I chose K&N based on internet research combined with the strength of a well known brand. I took my time installing the kit and spent a little under two hours doing it. The instructions were impressively simple and the photos made the process easy. My only complaint is that the kit is missing two screws that attach the part to the new airbox. That's why I only gave it 4 stars (would be 4 1/2 if it were allowed). Luckily I had two bolts in my spares box to use or I'd be dead in the water. I'm disappointed their quality control didn't notice this as the kit was made in September 2018. My truck gets about 15.2-15.3 mpg city. I'm excited to see how much that will change over the next few weeks. In terms of performance, I took the truck for a test drive after installing the kit. I can clearly hear the difference in sound (sounds rougher) and it seems to me that it has more power. I plan to update this review in a few weeks to see if there is a difference in fuel economy per gallon. ***Update*** A little less than 3 months and I've noticed an increase in fuel economy to 16.2-16.5mpg in the city. It still sounds nice and raspy under moderate to hard acceleration.
