Good price! in cycling

They're smooth enough for a smooth and quiet ride on tarmac and also "walkable" enough to handle soft, loose material well (e.g. dirt roads/gravel roads, normal dual carriageway traffic etc.) . ). I'm not a cyclocrosser but these tires are usually fine for my regular use. I have a Trek Verve 3 that comes with 700x35 tires that only inflate to 33mm wide and about 31mm high (from the edge of the rim). . I usually prefer a little more volume. According to Trek, the 38mm tire is the largest they recommend. These Continentals are nominally 700 x 42 but grow to around 38-39mm which is perfect for my application. I could probably force a 40mm tire on it, but that would be too much, both in terms of frame clearance and rim width (16mm internal width on stock Bontrager AT-750 rims). So these tires are the perfect size for me. They are easy to install (this is the first foldable clincher flap I've had and installation was a breeze). I also liked how thin the body of this tire is. I'm pretty mindful of where and how I ride and I'm not prone to flapping. Instead of extra fat "bombproof" touring tires that look more like wooden tires (like the Marathon or similar), I prefer tires with thinner casings for a more responsive ride while still using a regular tube. On and off road they are great. I weigh about 235 pounds and keep them inflated to about 45psi in the front and 55psi in the rear. That's enough air to keep them from catching on gravel/tree roots/manhole covers while still providing a comfortable ride and a good footprint for traction. I'm not a fan of inflating air tires so high that you could also use a solid tire - I like a little more compliance for ride comfort and surface conformity for traction. Aesthetically, the tire looks great. The sides have a very clean look and the embossed Continental logo is stylish and understated. These tires are a good buy. I love them so much on my trek that I'll probably wear them on my daughter's Raleigh Alysa when the stock Kenda Kwiks need replacing.
