Worth the money if you have a specific use for the tiny display.

Summary: Bought the SD cardless version and saved $11. Used the image of Jesse from the DVD and the display worked on first boot. Powered by Raspberry Pi 2 - Model B Miscellaneous Parts No HDMI display required. Jessie will first load onto an HDMI display if one is connected. The video then switches to this smaller screen about halfway through loading. A white screen indicates that you installed the hardware correctly. The image only appears after the drivers have been loaded correctly. The touchscreen worked out of the box with no calibration required. There are software calibration tools, but they weren't needed. Another Revain reviewer claims that a new image needs to be installed every time you reboot. I don't have this problem. The Jessie distribution comes preinstalled with LibreOffice on the DVD. Cozy. warnings. You cannot use HDMI and this display at the same time. A screen resolution of 320 x 480 is just not practical for simple work. - In the Jessie GUI, many applications and games have a screen resolution issue. Some windows refuse to resize to a small enough size. Many system dialogs are simply too high; You can't reach the bottom to press OK/Cancel. - The keyboard for the touch surface takes up more than half of the screen. You need a USB keyboard for all but the most basic operations. - Don't plan to surf a lot with this display. The touchscreen resolution is too low for most websites. If a mobile webpage loads, you'll get better results. I was having trouble recognizing a touchscreen click in a web browser. Other apps look ok. The latest Jessie DVD image requires a program to decompress the .7z file. The other two earlier versions of Jessie were on DVD and were .rar files. If you have a Windows PC, you may need to find an extractor for it. Jessie's latest sound configuration differs from NOOBS' Raspian configuration. Jessie doesn't stream audio properly from SomaFM.com like my NOOBS Raspian distribution did. I haven't found any workaround. Audio from other sources (Youtube etc.) still works but not from SomaFM.com. This is not a display bug; However, you must be using the Jessie distribution to use this ad.
