This sous vide water circulation system is great! I researched all the top rated brands and after reading the reviews of this device versus some other significantly more expensive winners I decided to give it a try because of the reasonable price. I can confirm that this device is quiet; Eggs turning quietly in my container make more noise than an engine. I also tested the accuracy and temperature control with the ThermaPen and found that the temperature stayed within 1 degree Fahrenheit of the set point; I also use a lid on my container. I don't use a timer. I set the time for many hours and then use a kitchen timer to keep track of cooking times. I've made so many dishes since I bought it and they've all been perfect: 140F eggs, a few dozen ribeye steaks so far, medium mustard rosemary crusted Wagyu roast perfect (21 hours), too medium chilean sea bass shank, the perfect texture for me at 125F!Tilapia fillet I can't express how much fun and joy I had experimenting with this sous vide circulator!) I highly recommend this product to start with.
