When we started renovating our mid-century style home in 2010, we hired an electrician, install sockets in the floor at the same time at home. Little did we know how challenging this would be for him. Sort of like when we asked the lead plumber to put a urinal in the master bathroom. Completely strange. The plumber told my wife to stay off the internet because I have too many crazy ideas. Well, the train urinal had to be redone (after the wall tiles were laid) because the water supply didn't match the plumbing. Flush valve, and the drain pipe did not line up with the drain hole. What about floor sockets? Well, those are just plain blue plastic electrical boxes sticking out from under the floor. Swing and slide, I'm afraid. These stand up floor rosettes from JACEPFY are simply outstanding. They come with a metal box (double size with individual screw holes). The screw terminals are pinch type, so you simply insert the stripped wire and tighten without wrapping the wire around the screw. The open/close mechanism is durable and reliable. And once it's open, it's locked. And USB charging is the icing on the cake. Two foam seals are provided to protect against liquids. One on the front panel and the other on the opening door. And that brushed aluminum finish! So fashionable! So hot! These floor sockets look so good we're considering wall mounting them throughout the house. Serious. The only question is whether the outlet should rise horizontally or vertically. Well, cost is also an issue, but let's not think about money right now. After all, we are dealing with art. 30 stars on a scale of 1 to 5. Hell, 35 stars. Well done JACEPFY. I am impressed. It's nice to see someone who understands the art of design and functionality. Update: I'm adding two photos to my review. The first shows the problem I have with knockouts on the side of the box. The electric wire did not allow the square box to enter the square hole. The 2nd photo shows another rough box with knockouts on the bottom. More accurate installation. There's a good chance the manufacturer is aware of this limitation and has started using boxes with cutouts on the bottom. It doesn't matter because the end floor will cover the notch, but keep that in mind.
