Well, I'm not testing whether it's waterproof at all; first thing I did was drilled multiple big holes and installed big push-buttons. It came with the removable rubber gasket and the slot in the lid for it, looks like it would be pretty tight if you used that *and hadn't drilled holes through the box* :-).Exterior surface is nice and smooth, presentable in public. Interior was fine, not perfectly pretty but no sharp edges or abrasive areas or anything looking like serious manufacturing…

The interior volume is slightly smaller than expected due to some reinforcing webs but it was a smart design sacrifice to deliver the sturdy and weatherproof product. For my application, I needed to drill a couple of holes (.625 and .25) to pass camera cables through. The material was solid without chipping and pliable without galling. The solidity and structure of the box was not at all compromised by the holes. I was pleasantly surprised to note that the mounting holes for the box were well…

I used a standard 240 volt coil relay and an emylo 240 volt smart switch to build an Alexa controlled switch to voice control my water heater. The box was a little cramped but I was able to fit everything into it including putting a green pilot light on the cover to signal when the water heater is on.

Made this box into a switch box for some lights. Really nice size and it's very thick plastic. The gasket is a little hard to keep in the channel but otherwise it's great.

Seal groove and matching lip with provided o-ring good design. Bottom mounting holes outside seal, so it will stay dry inside. I recommend marking side of box and side of lid to align properly after mounting, I used masking tape. I also appreciated the brass thread inserts to secure lid.

Ran a new power feed to my Subaru Outback and this box was just perfect to fit where I wanted it, right next to the factory power port.

Good enough box - not the "radioshack" quality ones in terms of finish and fit but does seem like it would be rain proof. The screwws and or the brass inserts werent the exact right thread so they would squeak and bind up. My experience with brass and brass threads when they start to squeak means your about 2 seconds away from seizing them up. Ended up running a M4 tap down the brass threads and fixed em.

I wanted to make this using my CO2 laser but because of the ABS I had to manually drill the holes. It worked fine, next one I will cut an acrylic top and create the entire lid at once with the laser

This is an excellent durable, moisture sealed plastic box that can provide good dry housing for electronics projects. I have used this same box on a portable Tesla coil and a test box for plug-in traffic signal load switches and flashers.

The box was sturdy and sealed well with the gasket and 4 metal screws. I needed the box to replace and hold a 12 volt battery for an electric start lawn mower. I didn’t need it to be watertight because I had to drill large holes for wires to enter and exit the box. I was able to drill the holes without the Box cracking or breaking. It works well for my project and was the proper size I was looking for.

Bought this box to make a PWM Housing for a kayak trolling motor. Worked perfectly. Definitely recommend. May be too lightweight for some users’ preferences.

I ordered these for a project they seem to be very sturdy and thick. I haven't been able to see if they are water tight yet they are small but should work for what I need them to do.
