Review on πŸ”ͺ Toyo Pistol Grip Glass Cutter: Cutting-Edge Tool in Assorted Colors by Barbara Simmons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best glass cutter for hobbyists too

During the restoration of 1910 corrugated glass windows, we worked hard to learn the best techniques for cutting new glass from old surviving sashes. Starting with a cheaper hand cutter and quickly realizing that you don't want to save on tools in this area. The TOYO brand is excellent, albeit more expensive, and I really appreciate being able to change the blade without having to buy a whole new handle. As with any thin cutting edge, you should not guide it over fine grit, as this will dull it more quickly. Works great with all brands of cutting oils we have used. more leverage when scoring away from you instead of pulling forward.

Pros
  • Craft
Cons
  • Obsolete model
