I don't have an Apple Pencil. I bought this bag so I can carry long thin hair sticks (which I use to tie my hair in a bun) when I travel or need to wear a hat to work. I wanted something that would protect my hairpins from being poked through my pocket and breaking. I assumed it was hard-walled (because Apple's cases from this and other manufacturers are larger!), but it's not: it's dense, flexible neoprene. It can be fully folded in half and even rolled up! So for now it protects my bag from punctures, but I can't bring my wooden sticks in here because leaning on my bag is wrong on the subway and they break. Are you also worried about your Apple Pencil (or whatever you're going to put in here) breaking?
