Not for Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, and Mint)

I'm writing this review so others can benefit and not fall into the same trap as me. Here's what happened: 1. I bought this device a few days ago to use with my Ubuntu laptop. It arrived on time, thanks Revain for the fast shipping.2. In the kit there is a floppy disk with drivers and a few pages of manual and instructions: a. This manual is for Windows and Mac systems only.b. For Linux, it mentions that the device is plug and play (it will be installed automatically). c. The instructions and drivers on the CD are for Fedora Linux. It was written to call support if you're installing for a different Linux, which was the case in my case.3. I connected the device and the plug and play function didn't work and Wi-Fi wouldn't turn on after several attempts even though the device was recognized as a Wi-Fi adapter by the laptop.4. I tried installing the Linux drivers even though they were mentioned for use with Fedora Linux. So that didn't work either.5. I removed Ubuntu from my laptop and installed Fedora on it. and then tries to follow the instructions on the CD again. To my surprise, I got the same error as in Ubuntu. Looking for the error, the MakeFile script written to compile the driver seems to be wrong. Not being a C language developer, I gave up and returned the device.6. I also tried calling the support service but no one answered the phone. I also left them a voice message to reply to and never got a response from Panda Wireless.** My advice: despite the false claims, do not consider buying this device for a Linux system. You'll get burned trying to get this to work and it still won't work.
