You're fine. They smooth as promised. The ink will also rub off with a damp cloth if you only use it for fine lines and don't saturate the fabric. The lines come out decently thin. Not as good as a micro tip pen - think more of a medium sized ballpoint pen, I'd like to read the reviews first. As mentioned in other reviews, the white color does not appear immediately. You have to give him a few seconds. I bought these precisely because I wanted a white handle for medium to dark fabrics. Was a little frustrated with the lag, so I wouldn't recommend white if you want to paint in detail or with great precision.
