Okay, I'll admit I'm definitely not a music lover. I'm someone who used $5-10 headphones you find at grocery and liquor stores or iPhone headphones for months until I got them and had no idea what I was missing. . It was like going straight from VHS to Blu-ray. The sound quality is excellent; no treble distortion and more bass than I thought headphones could offer. Listening to music I didn't even know existed. - Controls that actually work fully on Android! Let me get this straight because I was confused about this before I bought it and couldn't find a direct answer: All three buttons work. Volume up, volume down and center button for pause/skip/etc. (depending on the number of operations). Usually the controls are set up the same as iPhone headphones, and on Android only one central button works, so it's nice to have a volume control. - The microphone in the control group works well; With an iPhone ear mic and cheap mics, people have always misunderstood or heard me, but with this I can hear clearly even on the subway. - Speaking of the subway, the noise-cancellation is pretty good for the passive types - with that and music at medium volume, it almost entirely drowns out any bumps, squeaks and begging. What really helps is that the tips are different sizes so they fit better. However, I understand that they contain less of these than the previous model (E10C), they contain 3 different sizes, but the seller I bought from was kind enough to include an extra set of 5 more sizes. Find a retailer that does this and you'll almost certainly find a size that stays on, minimizes noise and really boosts the bass. It's purely a matter of taste, but I like the aluminum design; It's the looks that really reflect the overall quality. In summary, I can't tell you how it compares to other similarly priced or nicer headphones (but I also have absolutely no reason to doubt all the other reviews I've read of this single) as the best of the what there is stands up to $75 or so). But what I can say is that if you were like me and got used to listening to the cheapest junk and are wondering if it's really worth upgrading to $50 headphones, the answer is absolutely yes. iPhone headphones are better than the really cheap ones, but not by much. So if you're replacing a pair like me, it's still worth buying one.
