My brother lives in a town where houses are lined up and cars are parked along the streets and in their alleys and his street is often broken into, so when I saw this I thought it was him could try and if it doesn't work I won't lose a lot of money and if it works he won't invest a lot of money in a car alarm for his old car. It probably won't last longer than 2-3 years. Luckily for him, it should work as his car is one of the few on his street that hasn't been broken into recently. It definitely works as a deterrent, as intended. He took it out of the box and put it on the dashboard the day I gave it to him and it's been there ever since.
