Review on πŸ”§ Lisle 38350 Exhaust Hanger Removal: Effortless Exhaust System Maintenance Tool by Ashwin Patel

It's worth even for one-time use

Despite my almost total incompetence when it comes to all things mechanical, I figured I should try to remind myself that my opposing thumbs are good for something other than that Typing scathing texts, so I decided to install a trailer hitch on my SUV. For many, this might not need a second thought. For me, this took a lot of planning so I didn't get stuck halfway with a rogue vehicle because I couldn't figure out how to pull the Johnson bar off. In the course of this planning I have learned that getting the silencer out is often one of the greatest pains people face. I've seen it done with a crowbar and a screwdriver, but it appeared intact. Already over my head (hey, literally, since I'll be under the car!), I got this ahead of time to make life easier. And imagine: that's exactly what he did. Things popped out without a fight (I added some silicone grease just in case) and I didn't have to think about it at all. I can't imagine using it again, maybe ever, but definitely not in the near future, but I can't say it was money well spent as it did the lonely job it was made for very easily. One caveat here is that I haven't tried removing the exhaust hangers any other way, so breaking them would be just as easy. However, sometimes it's more than worth spending $20 not to worry about one less thing.
