, I do some DIY synth work and have built some modular skiffs and synth stands using them as guides. I highly recommend them! Very affordable and can be cut to any size with a hacksaw or metal cutting tool. Sliding nuts M3 are ideal for rails. The holes on the ends are M3 threaded and I found it very handy to add M3 threads to the new ends with a tap after cutting. Eurorack folks: Note the difference in width between these and standard "Z" rails, resulting in a vertical clearance of 4 1/4" for the electronics behind your panel and 5 3/8" between the outer ends of the beam. They have an additional 3/8" open makerbeam on each end of a standard Eurorack panel. In the photo: 1) 6U 66HP enclosure I made from black anodized makerbeam beams and plywood, a custom color coded enclosure, relevant to EurorackBeep boop, Xela users
