I have a truck that sits between a week and 3 weeks between starts. So, my 3 year old battery is draining a lot. Actually since he was 2 years old. I installed a smaller solar panel in my truck and it was fine, but over the winter months and short days it just couldn't keep the battery charged enough. So I bought what I am reviewing here. It has just been tested. Because I had to go to the hospital. and my car has not started for 3 weeks. In the middle of winter, with short and cloudy days. When I tried to start it, it started quickly and easily and the engine caught fire immediately. Brilliant! So it works like I hoped it would. The only complaint is that the included wiring harness is too short for in-car use. In a car it has to be connected all the way to the battery from the front and then the cables go into the passenger compartment and up to the dashboard. I had to cut the connector off the second harness and connect it to the first harness so I could reach the controller just enough.
