I approached it very carefully: no great expectations. I was proved wrong very quickly: out of the box it showed me what it could do with very little effort (see attached photo taken immediately after unboxing the scope!). The optics are clean and good light transmission is to be expected at 80mm. I even managed to test it indoors with artificial light (not that that's how you use it) and it produced a very decent picture. Digital analysis is very easy with the included adapter: very easy to set up and use. The resulting images show some chromatic aberrations, which can be easily corrected if necessary using various programs and applications available. TIP: If you plan to have a digiscop, buy a Bluetooth remote control for your phone, you will need it with every magnification to make your life less boring. I have to test the DSLR adapter but it looks well made and sturdy. A tripod works well on a tabletop or similar surface, it's mostly metal so it's sturdy and more than capable of supporting a scope. Overall a great kit! UPDATE: with a few photos. I still enjoy it very much!
