I love this filter and most of the time I just use these inserts to filter my aquarium. (Use charcoal only when necessary - for example cleaning the medicine container, etc.). In fact, they do the day-to-day work on their own. And it will last a very, very long time if only washed in aquarium water when necessary. Hope Revain put them up for sale again?!
