Review on Wi-Fi router TP-LINK TL-MR6400, black by Abhey Raj ᠌

I didn't like it, I don't recommend buying it.

In general, I was disappointed and the device did not justify the hopes for stable and high-quality work. The model may well be suitable if the router is available every day. those. it is possible to reboot it manually, and the range to it does not exceed 15 meters. and the connection to the GSM network is stable and high quality. For myself, I decided - I need to return it to the store.

Pros
  • Of the advantages is the design of the case, an informative and dim indicator, however it is normal, it is possible to mount the Router on the wall and looks very good in the interior. I quickly tuned in to work with a SIM card and started distributing WiFi. That's probably all.
Cons
  • Didn't like a lot. 1. Sensitivity to GSM signal reception. (low) The router was installed in a fairly critical area and periodically lost contact with the BS. This would be understandable, but before that there was another model (it burned out), and there were no such problems with it. 2. WiFi power is low and does not meet manufacturer's claims. so in line of sight, in open areas, the router is practically not detected already at 30-40 meters. The signal analyzer showed -82dB. tried on multiple devices. (phones from different manufacturers, WiFi video camera, laptop, tablet). not a single device saw the router at a given distance (and this is on the street when the router is visible with the eyes) 3. In the event of a power outage or interference (the router turns off for a short time), it did not fully restore its work. those. WiFi turned on, but the cellular network did not turn on, while the indicator said the opposite. i. E. we catch 4G. 4. In the event of a short-term loss of the GSM network signal (due to interference), the router itself did not restore the connection and did not connect the Internet to the distribution. a power reset was required. 5. after 4 days of more or less normal operation, the security object that was brought to the router suddenly disappeared from visibility. A trip to the router and the object showed that everything is fine, the router is in place, the signal is excellent WIFI - it works, 4G - the connection indicator is on - 3 dashes, but there is no Internet. After physically turning off the router from the network (from the power outlet) and a complete reboot, its work was restored. For the protection of the object or remote video surveillance, this is fundamentally unsuitable. Additionally, the Router is connected to an uninterruptible power supply!
