I bought it in 2014 when we had a lot of little chickens. Winters go by fast in the south so I packed it up and put it away. I pulled it out in 2018 to warm up our magic tropical bird who has a cage in the garage. It worked well. In fairness I must add that the temperature in the garage never goes below 45 degrees as we have an insulated ceiling in the garage. (but not the walls.) I tried the heater, but the heater kept cutting out. Thing is, it worked and I think it's a lot cheaper than using a 1500w variable wattage heater. He warms up the bird. He feels the heat directly and looks happy. I feel good about it. 24 hours as it is not a big drain on the electricity and he can rest assured that he is always on and able to move around comfortably according to his needs. By the way, this bird is over 23 years old. In bird years. Yes. He's picky.
