Review on 🧹 Gray Hoover Commercial HushTone Upright Vacuum Cleaner, 15 inches with Intellibelt, for Carpet and Hard Floors, CH54115 by Crystal Barter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

After a month of use

I bought this vacuum cleaner about a month ago, so my rating is based on first reactions only. I originally received the Bissell in November and three months later the plastic part that 'rolls up' the cord completely detached after hitting my bed frame. Then I ordered the Shark because I looked at the reviews and saw that they were mostly good. Until I dug deeper, I found that most of the negative reviews came from people who have owned a vacuum for a long time. Bad sign. I got the shark back before I opened it. So, despite the lack of reviews, I ordered this Hoover in hopes that something assembled in the US would have better luck. I know it's for "commercial use" but I've used it at home. Pros: - Two power settings - Seems good at absorbing power, especially when set to the higher of the two settings - I also have settings for bare ground and heavy traffic. Nice long cord that runs almost all the way through my house. bags. I don't know if I still trust bagless vacuum cleaners. I recently bought ten bags for $19 from Hoover's website. US assembly = durability? I assume the parts were still made in China. - Pretty quiet on lower settings. Cons: - Heavy! I don't know if that's a sign I need to work my upper body more, but this vacuum works my arms by squeezing it! However, our carpet is quite thick, which can contribute to this. Setting the vacuum to a lower level helps. I imagine my fiancΓ© will probably do most of the vacuuming in the future. - All parts are made of plastic. I know that's the case with most things these days, but it makes me question their durability. I will try to add more information. the time is running. EDIT AFTER EIGHT MONTHS OF USE: Still working and we've only had to replace the bag once and use it 1 or 2 times a week in our 4 bedroom house. It's still hard to use, so moving it around the house is a workout for me, but my husband doesn't mind.
