This mount is the length I need. It was easy to install, inexpensive, and seems solid enough for my 40-inch Samsung, which weighs only 15.4 pounds. The reason for only 3 stars is that the TV doesn't sit completely flat on the bracket when you pull this bracket all the way out. tilts down on one side even though the wall mount is 100% level. I think it's the hinge in the middle. It's very small. But if you have OCD like me, it's going to drive you crazy. For example, turning the entire TV on the bracket with it extended. but that will surely only cause more problems. I would not consider this mount for anything other than my TV, no matter what the description/spec says.
