I work with two theaters. None of them are rich or super profitable, but we strive to make the most of what we have. On one of them I would call it "Grassroots", I made my light guard out of standard rotary dimmers controlling the track lights. On the last show we just finished, A Prose Christmas Carol, I had to turn up one of the halogen bulb dimmers to get enough light on the deep stage. Sometimes, even with the additional ventilation openings, I was too hot to touch. I bought a tiny 40mm fan with a power supply for less than twenty. Just set it to low power and point it at the dimmer. It cooled it down enough that I didn't have to worry if it broke, and was quiet enough that I could still hear the actors' dialogue on stage. I also showed it to other technology friends and they were also enthusiastic. I definitely recommend getting one in whatever size you need it if you need something cool. I plan on bringing it home and setting it up to blow through my phone when it needs a deep charge too. Happy chilling!.rj
