Much better than foam blocks.

I have a Kia Soul with a sunroof. If you both ran through the back door, one to the front of the door and one to the back of the door, the pressure could be applied to the metal and not the glass. The straps are easy to use, although I wish there were clearer instructions. I definitely used extra fasteners to keep it from moving.
