The ONLY thing that kept my older fat dog from the extra weight. However, I had to give up what they recommended to get there. Ate 1/2 cup regular meals twice a day. Fat Dog's label recommended her 1 cup twice a day. I think we did 3/4 twice a day and she actually gained a pound. I spoke to the vet and they agreed that dog food vendors sell dog food. Now that we've put her on a diet but back to her usual 1/2 cup a day, she's losing weight very slowly. She is a Corgi and they tend to be overweight. She's losing weight despite a ridiculously sedentary lifestyle (kind of practically immobile). It takes time. The high fiber content made her stools more formed which was a big plus as she often got her butt dirty with all her long corgi hair and sometimes needed washing. It's not a problem anymore which was a fantastic bonus! AT
