My strap is normal. I didn't see myself putting it on. Instead of having two loops for the ribbon to thread through, one needs to be threaded through a hole so the ribbon you would put in the loops can be fed through the hole. I have a small wrist and it's impossible to get the strap through the hook because my wrist is there. I would prefer a typical watch strap where you attach the strap through two loops. In addition, the band is very stiff.
