Review on Hamildeyi Birdcage Simulation Birdhouse Predators by Philip Russell

It was larger than expected and excellent quality. My lovebirds love to sleep in it and play in and around it all the time. They also like to nibble on it. I put it away during the day and put it back in during the day/night so they sleep and don't encourage breeding. My babies are still here. Includes 2 short dowels and a chopping toy. The dowels are pretty basic and shouldn't be the only perches in your cage. Birds need natural perches of various sizes to maintain healthy legs and to be able to chew to keep their beaks trimmed. Also, the metal that comes with the cage dowels doesn't look like stainless steel or birdproof material to avoid metal poisoning. The toy is good but it won't last long if you chew hard. The clip in the toy should be replaced as birds can get their beak caught in the clasp when playing and they tend to be attracted to shiny metal objects. . I would suggest cutting it off and adding twine like jute or sisal to avoid squashing and suffocating it. Overall I would recommend it. I only gave it 4 stars and not 5 because they need to fix the potential pitfalls I mentioned to make it a 5 star item.
