Really the difference between day and night

Like some others I was skeptical. With several years of professional car audio installation experience back in the early '00s, I am very suspicious of anything that appears new and hasn't been personally tested. It's just foam discs and rings, how effective can they be in enhancing mid-bass? Answer: VERY. I installed an Infinity 6x9 in the back of my car and 6" Infinity components in the front, along with 10GA sound deadening cables that ran into each corner from my 4 channel amp to each crossover and from there to the decors ., but I had almost no bass, especially from the front. There was a noticeable sound hole between the output of my 12" subwoofers and the mids, and I couldn't take it anymore after spending so much money on everything, including the head unit to upgrade. , battery, chassis ground and under hood alternator wiring in a 14 hour installer marathon after 15 years away from the hobby. No equalizer could improve mid bass where none was. Everything changed when I installed these foam cut outs I had to cut off the pieces that are sticking to the front edge of the woofer frame, being careful not to glue them to the surround, and straight e cut enough so the door panels don't compact them and cause them to collapse. Once that was done and I put my car back together, as I said in the title, it was the difference between day and night. There was no confirmation bias because honestly I expected to be disappointed. I almost WANTED to be disappointed, to confirm my belief that nothing has changed in car audio over the years. I was wrong. I suddenly have midbass. My front speakers eventually rumbled and rumbled, just as I expected when I first installed them. Now I could turn the volume of the subwoofer all the way down and still have a good bass line that is present in all genres of music. There is no longer a sound hole between high and low bass and my only regret is that I didn't install this simple stuff 4 months ago when I originally upgraded my system. This stuff really works, so even if you think your mid-bass sounds decent now, maybe just leave the bass on the table. This will make your music sound richer, fuller and closer to how it's supposed to sound. Do yourself a favor and buy these foam tips - they really do work wonders.
