If you have a headphone jack and need an extra layer of privacy, consider buying one. I even tried it on a new iPhone without a jack but with an adapter and it worked. Only when I click on the speakerphone, then the built-in microphone is activated by default. So that's a very cool idea without the hassle of upgrading a mic switch and voiding the warranty. So nothing is always 100%, but I appreciate that extra layer of protection, like a camera screen protector. Incidentally, at the other end only the sound of the line opening can be heard. AKA the tone of comfort. :) In other words, when someone turns off the sound instead of keeping it quiet with random prompts or music.
