It took me about three weeks to decide to buy this.I like Romano and Parmesan cheese on vegetables, soups and pasta. I was reserved because I like it finely grated. When I fist started using it I was pressing hard on the plunger causing longer than I wanted pieces coming out. I found that less pressure on the plunger the finer the grated cheese is. It did not move on my granite counters, cleanup was a breeze. Highly recommend. Great value for the price.
