Review on JOYSTAR Baby Balance Bike For 2 Years Old Boys Girls - Toddler Balance Bikes For 12-36 Months Kids - No Pedal 4 Wheels Toddler First Bike Best First Birthday Gifts by Daniel Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lightweight but easily tips

This bike came in several pieces which were fairly easily to assemble within about ten minutes. It is very lightweight. The wheels in the back are closer together than in the front which possibly is to allow children to "kick” their legs back when propelling themselves forward, however it does make the bike a bit more wobbly and prone to tips because of the narrow rear wheels. Also the seat easily moves and rotate so it does need some regular readjusting to center it. My 21 month old is the perfect size to sit on the bike but is still figuring out how to really get moving on it. The wheels roll fairly easily. The handle bars are easy to turn but having the bike actually follow with the turn is a bit harder. Overall this is a fun little practice bike with supervision. The balance issue is my biggest concern because it doesn’t turn easily and because of the narrow rear wheels the bike does top very easily, sometimes even with my toddler on it! With that being said there probably is some natural balancing training happening.

Pros
  • We are loving it. Only thing id change is the seat is pretty small
Cons
  • The lack of pedals means that children may not learn to pedal a bike effectively
