First I was looking for a replacement battery cover for our DIRECTV remote control. The kids dropped it and the battery cover didn't fit. I came across this cover for the remote control. With two kids this was a better option than replacing the battery cover and possibly replacing it again in the future. The cover is put on and fits like a glove. It takes some getting used to. I don't usually look at the remote when I'm changing the channel, adjusting the volume, or pressing other buttons. I rely on my fumbling for the remote control. Since the lid is flush with many buttons, it may take some time to find the remote control. Either way, this is a great cover and I highly recommend it.
