Review on ☕ BUNN Heat and Brew Programmable Coffee Maker, 10-Cup Capacity, Stainless Steel by Toni Chapman

It tastes and smells like plastic and BUNN support thinks it's ok!

I didn't want to write this review because I really wanted it to be a great addition to our kitchen, but after my experience with Bunn's customer service I thought I'd share it: My husband loves coffee. He's picky about coffee. He likes to make it himself, but he made it out of an old coffee pot and I wanted to surprise him with something he would like for our anniversary. Technology and good reviews both on Amazon and online that this coffee maker will be the best. I bought it at what I think is a fairly reasonable price for a coffee maker, but then again, I'm not like my husband and I have trusted Bunn to make him a fantastic coffee to his liking. That's what happened. We launched the maker on day one. Very strong plastic smell and taste. Okay this is new, we'll skip the vinegar solution a few times, no big deal. Day 5 - Still very strong smell and taste of plastic. I'm looking for answers on the internet. Some people say they had this problem too, but they keep trying. We've wasted a lot of coffee so far. Day 10. Now this is getting ridiculous so I decide to call BUNN support. I meet a woman who almost laughs at my worries and tells me I may have to do this for a month to get it right. And that I can call again in a month if it still smells like plastic. The sad thing is we gave it a month. I don't know what we were thinking. The coffee maker is still terrible and we couldn't return it and the customer service is terrible because BUNN told us we can't get a new one as the smell and taste of the plastic always goes away. I don't want anything around me that tastes or smells like plastic. This stupid, clunky giant coffee maker is now in a drawer in our basement. I will never buy a BUNN coffee maker again.
