I did a comparison with a new one (right, black) I bought recently and apart from the color they are exactly the same. I checked the strength of the magnet, the buttons felt and I couldn't tell a difference. It comes in a generic box, but who cares. I would definitely consider this option before spending another $100 on a new one. I hope yours is in good condition too.
